Rainey St. Trail Head Project - Nov. 9th
The Trail Foundation (TTF) is seeking your input as they partner with the Austin Parks and Recreation Department to turn an important entry point to the Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail in the growing Rainey Street District, into a more functional and attractive area.
The team had a very successful turnout for the first of three community events on Saturday, September 28, where attendees were asked to mark and comment on ideas to improve the park space. Approximately 70 local residents and trail users participated, and over 350 people completed the online survey. The posters from the event are available on the project website.
A second community engagement event is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 9, from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the end of Rainey St. at 701 Cummings St, near the Miró Rivera Restroom. At this event, the team will share what was heard from the community and reveal several design options that respond to the project goal, site conditions, and feedback. Free drinks and snacks are being donated by local vendors. Engagement Event #2 - Nov. 9, 2019 8am - 11am Concept Designs and Community Feedback
Engagement Event #3 - Dec. 14, 2019 Presentation of Final Design
